Finding the cheapest flights has become almost a competition. Booking flights has become easy. But finding the best flight for yourself, preferably the cheapest, is a challenge.

“To Hawaii for 300 euros? How did you do that?”

Well, I also asked myself this question at first when friends or colleagues spontaneously made a “bargain” when booking flights. Because the most expensive part of the journey is often the plane ticket.

That’s why I’ve taken the trouble to write down my experience and tips for you so that you can find cheap flights too. I’ve learned quite a few tricks and tips over the years that, surprisingly, not everyone knows.

Incidentally, I prefer direct flights and would rather pay 100 euros more. But that has only developed in this way in recent years, because in times of climate change I try to reduce my ecological footprint as much as possible.

My tips to find the cheapest flights

Are there any insider tips when it comes to booking a flight? There are many rumors circulating when it comes to making a bargain. From deleting cookies in the browser to booking a flight on a Wednesday.

Here are my tips and how to go about searching for flights. The more and more often I fly, the more I value getting to my destination as quickly and as possible as possible. Preferably with a night flight. I am happy to pay 100-200€ more for plane tickets. But I’m also not a student or trainee who has to pay attention to every cent. Fortunately, that time is long gone.

In addition, I think it is important in times of climate change to avoid unnecessary open jaw flights with longer distances. Despite my job in the travel industry, I fly as little as possible. Air tickets have become more expensive since the war in Ukraine. Flights to Asia cannot currently take place via Russia and are also becoming more expensive due to longer detours. In addition, kerosene prices are rising. After the long Corona phase, many tickets generally became more expensive. Therefore, it is now all the more important to be patient when booking.

Book flights early

I’m spontaneous and don’t like to plan very much. But planning and booking early really pays off. Last-minute bargains are very rare.

Rule of thumb for domestic German flights: According to a study, the flights are cheapest if you book about 6 weeks in advance. I no longer fly within Germany, but take the train (climate change!).

According to this study, the tickets are then 40-50% cheaper than on the day of departure. The prices increase rapidly as the departure approaches (empirical values are 21 days, 14 days, 7 days and 3 days before departure).

For long-haul routes (particularly when traveling during popular travel times), you should monitor flight prices beforehand.

Example: Japan during the cherry blossom season. If we hadn’t been so spontaneous here and had checked for flights more than 3 months before departure, we could have saved at least €300-400 per person (direct flights, with flights with a stopover it would have been less, but definitely more expensive).

Flexibility pays off

Be flexible about the day of departure and arrival. The cheapest day of departure is not always (as is often recommended) a Wednesday, but often Friday. However, only early in the morning or late in the evening. For flights within Europe, Monday is the cheapest return flight day. Experience has shown that Sunday is the most expensive. But if you come back from a long-distance trip , Sunday is often the cheapest.

Therefore: Take your time and check exactly what the flights cost 1-2 days earlier or later. You also have to be flexible when it comes to departure times.

Almost all flight search engines now offer to display a whole month so you can see how flight prices differ from day to day :

Avoid peak travel times during vacations

Peak travel time is vacation time. Demand is high , tickets are scarce because everyone wants to travel. If possible, avoid school holidays or public holidays or travel from another federal state in which there are no holidays yet.

Also check in the country of arrival whether there is a public holiday or vacation time.

Use flight search engines to compare flights

The best way to find cheap flights (and also the fastest way) are so-called flight search engines. They search all airline platforms and websites to find you the cheapest offer or the fastest flight.

I prefer direct flights and avoid having to change planes more than once if possible. The time lost when changing trains is immense. The chance that your luggage doesn’t make it is just as great.

In general, flights with 1-2 stopovers are of course cheaper. So I leave it up to you to decide what is more important to you: save time or save money.

I recommend these flight search engines (exactly in this order):

Booking.com

The best search engine for a first overview is booking. You can easily specify multiple departure airports, open jaw flights and alternative nearby destination airports. The search is very simple and clear. Nevertheless, I noticed that not all airlines are always listed.

The search engine for joints is simple and really easy to use. As usual, you enter your departure airport, your destination and select a specific date or “flexible travel dates”. If you mouse over the date, the search engine will show you the day on which you can get your flight ticket cheapest.

You can even see how much a First Class flight would cost.

You can also add other departure or destination airports. Sometimes it is worth driving to another airport. For me, Stuttgart and Frankfurt are practical. I always look for departures from Stuttgart and Frankfurt and then decide which one to choose.

When are flights cheapest?

Again and again I find that one simply has to observe long enough. According to a study, the cheapest flights are found on Thursdays.
I even found a cheap flight on a Wednesday.

Is it worth flying to small airports? Are they cheaper?

Big airports have a higher frequency and occupancy. As a result, the airlines also have a higher capacity utilization. Fees are lower as a result. In addition, several airlines fly the same routes at major airports. As a result, the competitive pressure is greater. That’s why the flights are often cheaper. With low-cost airlines you often have hidden costs or problems when rebooking. I avoid these.

Plan your Next Trip with Booking.com And Get Huge Discount While booking .

Surviving a cross-country Greyhound bus trip

Greyhound is a bus company that connects most of the major cities in the United States of America. And in most cases, it’s much cheaper than flying. But it may take more than a day to reach the destination which would only take a few hours of flying. In this blog post, I decided to put together some tips to make your Greyhound trips easier.

The Greyhound website advises to arrive at the bus station at least thirty minutes before the departure of the hired bus. But I would suggest that you arrive even earlier; or not, if you don’t mind sitting in the worst place. There are many people who arrive early just to be able to choose the best seats . The seats are not assigned, so you can choose the one you want (assuming you arrive early enough).

Also, Greyhound buses sometimes leave a few minutes before the official departure time, so this is another reason to be at the bus station on time. Make sure you print your ticket(s), they won’t let you on the bus if you show them the ticket on your mobile phone.

This is how the Greyhound bus station is identified. Sometimes it is a station itself and other times the bus will stop at a gas station or a parking lot; just look for a sign like this and you’ll know where to wait. I took this photo during my Greyhound trip to New Orleans.

Bring an extra sweater… or three

In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that in the United States of America, air conditioning is everywhere and most of the time, it is set to quite uncomfortable levels. This unfortunate rule also applies to Greyhound buses. I’m not kidding when I say my teeth were chattering in the middle of the night and I put on literally all the clothes I was wearing and I was still cold.

And she was not the only one. The woman sitting across from me went to the driver to see if she could set the bus to a warmer temperature, and the response was that the air conditioning on Greyhound buses only had one setting: arctic temperature . And she said that she would rather drive a bus that is cold than one that is too hot. Therefore, my advice is to bring some extra clothes. You will need it, even if you are going to a hot destination.

Free Wi-Fi and power outlets

All Greyhound buses have free Wi-Fi and plugs to charge your electronic devices. Does it sound too good to be true? It is in part. When you use Wi-Fi on Greyhound buses, forget about YouTube and other Internet video services. They disable the videos because if you download them, the Wi-Fi would be super slow for other users.

Well, I found out when I was already on the bus and had not downloaded any music on my smartphone before the trip, because I was planning to listen to music on YouTube. Fortunately, I had also brought a book, which allowed me to forget about my misfortune for a couple of hours.

There are sockets at each seat, but they are old and sometimes the movement of the bus causes the charger to unplug itself . Talking about my personal experience – I plugged in the phone because the battery was almost dead, then I fell asleep and when I woke up, I saw the charger dropped on the floor. So, a piece of advice: bring some zeal and stick the charger with it to the plug.

bring some snacks

Greyhound buses make frequent stops, but it’s still useful to bring something to snack on. Because? There are two reasons. Greyhound stations are usually located in the middle of nowhere, so you won’t really be able to go to any nearby stores during the stop and buy food. The second reason is that in the Greyhound stations there are vending machines, and sometimes a restaurant area, but the food is very expensive and not very good.

Bring a pillow, earplugs, and an eye mask

Fuente

Greyhound buses are comfortable, but if you sit on them for more than four hours, the journey can become torture. The seats can be reclined very far back, so you can sleep quite well.

Even short bus rides can be uncomfortable. But traveling across the country by bus can give you some pretty bad neck pain if you don’t have a pillow with you. You can bring one of those small, regular pillows, or even better, a neck pillow , if you have one. An eye mask and earplugs are also extremely helpful.

Well, if you don’t have earplugs you can use regular headphones to cover up some sound. You are not allowed to talk on the phone (with speakerphone on) or listen to loud music, but Greyhound buses are extremely loud . The eye mask saved my life, because despite the fact that the driver dims the lights during the night drive, the passengers can still use the reading lights and they are extremely bright.

Tip: Take an overnight Greyhound to save money you would otherwise have to spend on accommodation. But don’t expect to be able to be on the bus all the time. When I traveled to New Orleans this past summer, I took a Greyhound bus from Cincinnati, and the trip was, believe it or not, twenty-four hours (not including time spent at bus stops). Then why did I travel by bus? Well, because my trip was on the Fourth of July and flights to New Orleans during those dates would have cost me about eight hundred dollars. I paid a small fraction of the price for the trip with the Greyhound bus.

I’m still in awe when the driver told us to get off the bus for an hour on the night ride because he had to gas up and clean it up.

Fuente

And this is what a Greyhound bus station usually looks like on the outside. Once again, it is impossible to go wrong with such great signs.

A few last words to finish…

Without a doubt, Greyhound buses are not the most comfortable means of transportation to travel across the United States of America, but they are cheap and quite reliable . So if your destination is more important than the journey, then you can easily survive a long distance trip on the Greyhound bus.
Plan your next Trip with Greyhound and Get huge discounts while booking.

Colombia has definitely entered the travel map with force . If in the past planning a trip to the country generated many doubts, now it is an established destination that attracts more tourists and many backpackers on their way through Latin America every year.

With Travel Backpackers I was able to travel around the country with the best possible option: accompanied by a Colombian friend who was enthusiastic about the idea of showing me the best of Colombia and wanting to break stigmas.

The trip coincided with Christmas, a period in which most Colombians take the opportunity to spend longer vacations with family and on the coast, since the high season also begins in the Caribbean area. Spending the end of the year in Bogotá was one of the best memories , since I was able to celebrate the beginning of the new year in a very different way than what I usually do in Barcelona: with a traditional family barbecue! Subsequently, in January I was able to enjoy a few days of relaxation on the Caribbean coast.

It is one of the countries with the greatest biodiversity in the world

If I had to choose one word to define the country as a travel experience it would be diversity. A trip to Colombia will amaze you with its variety of landscapes: from the desert of La Guajira, to the wild beaches of Tayrona or one of the highest palm groves in the world in the Cócora Valley , at the gates of the jungle. Colombia is considered one of the countries with the greatest biodiversity in the world and in fact, it is estimated that it has 10% of the planet’s biodiversity.

In Colombia there are currently 10 natural parks where you can enjoy this biodiversity, each one more diverse. On the Caribbean coast you can visit the virgin beaches of Tayrona or the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta National Park, a Biosphere Reserve and World Heritage Site by UNESCO and one of the largest humid forests. Another of the most impressive is the Amacayacu National Park, near the Amazon.

In another totally different environment in the Andes Mountains rises the Nevados National Park, a volcanic area with peaks up to 4,600 meters high.

…And with greater cultural richness

But diversity also extends to culture, the result of an intense history marked by ethnicity. In few countries have I found so much mix. If in the Caribbean, with Cartagena de Indias at the forefront, we find extensive Afro-Caribbean references, in the south indigenous culture and folklore dominates. In fact, about 81 indigenous groups live in the country.

All this wealth is enjoyed on a trip through the country and at each new stop you learn to appreciate this great variety with greater interest.

To discover Tayrona, the jewel of the Colombian Caribbean

If you have never traveled to Tayrona, its name may sound familiar to you because of the well-known song by Carlos Vives and Shakira “La Bicicleta”, in which the two stars of Colombian music (another of the country’s joys) mention it.

Tayrona is the most emblematic natural park in the country and is located a few kilometers from the town of Santa Marta. This large natural area allows you to enjoy a lush tropical landscape, where virgin beaches, coral formations, mangroves and lagoons abound. In deeper areas you can even visit some geological remains of the many tribes that have inhabited this place over the years.

With Travel Backpackers I was able to visit the park for two days, camping in the most popular area near Cabo de San Juan , one of the backpacker landmarks in Colombia, although if you prefer you can also find many eco-hotels in the area or you can book hotels on Booking.com near Cabo de San Juan .

To get there you will have to cross some of the best beaches in Tayrona , on a walk that will hopefully also allow you to see some animals. In my case, I remember that while walking, a capybara crossed me.

If you like nature you cannot miss Tayrona, a must on a visit to Colombia. To access, it is mandatory to be vaccinated against yellow fever and it is highly advisable to have medical insurance like those offered by Mondo.

To enjoy Cartagena de Indias and its colonial heritage

On every trip there is always a city that I look forward to especially and on this trip to Colombia that was Cartagena de Indias. This colonial jewel at the height of Old Havana, dazzles with its defensive architecture, with one of the best walls in the Caribbean built to defend against piracy.

The center of the walled city is an elegant trip to the past. Cartagena is a city with many squares and large mansions with colorful facades. In addition, it has an intense cultural and musical program. The beautiful Plaza de Santa Domingo is usually the scene of many of these concerts.

One of the most emblematic places in the center is the Clock Tower , a portal that separates the walled center from the Getsemaní neighborhood, and the Plaza de los Coches, where at night you can see many artists dancing in the street.

In the surroundings of the Cathedral of Saint Catherine of Alexandria you will find a lot of atmosphere and some of the most beautiful buildings. I fell in love with Cartagena, it is one of the main colonial jewels of Latin America !

To taste the tasty Colombian food

If there is one thing that is certain, it is that on a trip to Colombia you will enjoy the food. The basis of most dishes is cereals or rice, although tubers such as cassava and meat also always have a place. Colombian gastronomy stands out for the fusion of foods and of course, different culinary traditions such as local, European and African cultures.

Some of the most popular dishes are ajiaco , a kind of broth with beef and chicken to which corn, cassava, sweet potato is added and seasoned with chili.

A good example of a pre-Columbian dish is tamales , a dish widespread in Latin America that is served with a corn dough filled with meats and vegetables and that is usually wrapped in cob or banana leaves that are steamed. Its flavor is truly original, since due to its great variety you can find them both sweet and savory.

Finally, if you like beef in Colombia you will find a gastronomy that loves this type of meat. If you have the funds, you can try the popular tray paisa , a large typical dish from Medellín and surrounding areas where there is no shortage of rice, pork rinds, chorizo, arepas, beans, avocado and ground meat.

If you want to try one of the best barbecues, reserve a table at the very popular restaurant “Andrés Carne de Res” in Bogotá. A trip to Colombia is also a gastronomic trip !

Enjoy the beaches of Santa Marta, a family destination

Santa Marta is one of the favorite places for Colombians for a beach getaway on the Caribbean coast. The most popular are Rodadero and the party town Taganga, usually visited by foreign tourists looking for a rumba or party.

In the historic center, made up of white colonial houses around the tourist promenade, you can enjoy the architecture and the good atmosphere on the street. The walk to the boardwalk is a must.

To visit Bolívar’s tomb in Santa Marta

Also in Santa Marta you can consider an interesting cultural visit: a visit to the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino , the hacienda where Simón de Bolívar died in 1830 due to tuberculosis. The guided tour covers the main rooms such as the smoking room or the chapel.

Visit the Gold Museum in Bogotá

Bogotá is a huge city, often chaotic and with a lot of traffic. Of course it also has its essentials and you will find one of them in the Gold Museum , one of the places that contains the famous legend of El Dorado.

This supposed legendary city made of gold was for centuries an obsession for the Spanish, who echoed the testimonies of indigenous people who described a tribal ritual according to which the King covered his body with gold dust to offer it to the gods.
El Dorado was never found, but this museum preserves the only evidence of the ritual. In the La Ofrenda room you can see the golden piece known as the “ Balsa muisca ” made between the years 1200 and 1500 and found in 1969 in the municipality of Pasca, south of Bogotá.

This exceptional piece recreates the Ceremony of the Golden Indian, in which the priests covered the future chieftain with a resin that they sprinkled with gold dust and which is the basis of the myth.

Small, stuffy and directly above the parking lot – the disappointment is great when vacationers realize that they got the worst room in the hotel. But that doesn’t have to be the case: we’ll tell you a few simple tricks on how to get the best hotel rooms in the future.

The hotel room has no real flaws, but you just don’t like it? Then you should change it right away rather than worry about it for a long time. There is no legal entitlement to a more attractive room anywhere in the world. But every good hotel will try to make you a happy guest. FOCUS Online asked the German Hotel and Restaurant Association Dehoga what you can do to get a better room.

The magic word is communication

Stefan Wild, head of the hotel department at Dehoga, first explains: “In an industry in which people work with people for people, the magic word – as in many areas of life – is communication.”

He therefore recommends simply contacting the hotel personally, either by e-mail or telephone: “This is the easiest way to find out whether the room you want is generally available in the hotel you have chosen and whether it is still available on the date in question.”

When booking by phone: Better rooms, better prices

In addition, the booking is then often cheaper than booking the room online via booking portals, as these usually charge additional fees. Wild explains: “In general, you have to imagine online bookings like this: if a guest books via an online booking portal, the booked room category is usually entered randomly into the hotel’s internal booking system. However, the booking systems cannot automatically record the wishes expressed, such as “quiet room” or “with a bathtub ”, which can be entered in the notes.”

Early arrival can be an advantage

In addition, an early arrival can be an advantage. “The fewer guests who have already moved into their rooms, the more leeway the receptionist has to switch rooms manually or get the upgrade that may actually have been automatically allocated to another booking due to overbooking in a room category.”

Never too late: This way you can get a better room even after booking

Even if you only find out when you arrive at the hotel that your room doesn’t suit you, we have a few tips for you:

They were looking forward to one. But now you’re being taken to a room that faces the street, where the elevator creaks next door and a jackhammer thumps downstairs? Then it is better not to put your suitcase down in the first place, but to ask for a quieter room immediately. The experienced hotel guest remains routine and friendly and says with a smile that he is convinced that the hotel employee can definitely do something for him.

View the room before moving into it

If you know that you are not a simple guest: Don’t simply ask for the next best room, but ask in advance to be allowed to take a look at the room assigned to you. You can usually tell right away if you like it.

It is often possible to be shown two or three rooms upon arrival, from which you can then choose one.

Do not book the cheapest category

The room was a bargain, the price suspiciously low, and now you’ve got the cramped flophouse right above the kitchen with exhaust rattling all day? Put earplugs in your ears and next time don’t book the cheapest room category, but a step up. That may cost 10 or 20 euros more, but combined with a small compliment, it is often the key to the very best rooms in the house.

Appreciate the staff

Keep one thing in mind: kindness to staff always pays off. If you say hello, maybe start a little conversation, don’t make a phone call during check-in and express your appreciation to the staff at all, you’ll get appreciation back – and often an upgrade

Let us know if it is a special stay

Are you celebrating a birthday during your stay, are you honeymooning there or is it your first stay at the hotel? Informing the staff may in some cases result in an upgrade or a courtesy.

Book a new hotel

Sometimes you should try something new. In this case, it could even be of great benefit, because newly opened hotels often offer deals to attract customers and build a customer base.

Book spontaneously

If you like to be spontaneous, it is also a good idea to book at very short notice. Most hotel rooms can be canceled 24 to 48 hours before the planned arrival. Therefore, some rooms will become available again in this time window and with a little luck you can then find good and possibly even inexpensive accommodation.

If there is mold, defects or bed bugs: change rooms immediately!

Do you not only have a bad feeling, but also an objective reason for refusing the room? Is there mold behind the closet, does it smell sweet and stale like bed bugs, is the shower broken? Then it’s no longer about goodwill. Politely but firmly explain what you saw and change rooms immediately. And preferably the hotel.

Book luxury and affordable hotels at Agoda and make your hotel search easy with Agoda.

f you have come this far looking for places to visit in California, we can only tell you one thing: get ready to discover a unique place. And it is the third largest state in the United States, which brings together large metropolises such as Los Angeles and San Francisco, natural wonders such as the Yosemite and Sequoia parks, beautiful beaches bathed by the Pacific and, above all, an endless leisure offer; It is without a doubt, one of the most complete and visited destinations in the country as well as, we are sure, a destination that you will not easily forget.

To enjoy the tourist attractions of California, we recommend taking a rental car route of 10 days to two weeks, leaving from San Francisco and ending in San Diego or Los Angeles, or a circular route passing through the west coast of the United States and back. , in the interior visiting the different national parks.
Although it is always a good time to visit California, the best months are April, May, June, September and October, times during which you will avoid extreme temperatures in places like Death Valley, and accommodations have more affordable prices.

1. San Francisco

Spending two or three days in San Francisco, located on a beautiful bay and our favorite city in the country, is one of the best things to do in California .
Its European-style buildings, its diversity and good atmosphere make it a perfect destination for travelers who travel the West Coast and want to enjoy a few days of relaxation walking through neighborhoods such as the Castro, Haight-Ashbury, Chinatown or Fisherman’s Wharf, visiting the famous Alcatraz prison or crossing the iconic Golden Gate Bridge.
To complete this list of places to see in San Francisco, we recommend you follow these guides to San Francisco in one day , San Francisco in two days and San Francisco in 3 days without forgetting to try some of its gastronomic specialties such as clam chowdee in one of the best restaurants to eat in San Francisco .

2. Yosemite

One of the best excursions from San Francisco for one or two days is a visit to Yosemite Park, one of the most emblematic parks to visit in the United States .
Located in central California, about 4 hours by road from San Francisco, this park impresses with its beautiful glacial valley surrounded by imposing mountains, such as the famous El Capitan and Half Dome, from which fantastic waterfalls emerge.
After enjoying the views from its viewpoints such as Tunnel View or Glacier Point and doing some hiking, we suggest you go to its redwood forest to feel tiny next to these enormous trees.

3. Napa Valley, one of the places to visit in California

If you are a lover of wines and wine tourism, you cannot miss a visit to the Napa and Sonoma valleys, located one hour north of San Francisco and another of the most fashionable places to visit in California.
Thanks to its rich lands, altitude and climate, these valleys produce some of the most recognized wines in the world such as Cabernets, Merlots and Chardonnays, which have given it international fame and made it a great tourist attraction.

4. Lake Tahoe

On the border between California and Nevada is Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in the United States and one of the most beautiful landscapes to see in California.
This enormous freshwater lake, surrounded by green forests and with the backdrop of the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada, is characterized by the clarity of its waters and its intense blue color that delights all travelers who visit it.
Among its jewels stands out Emerald Bay, a small bay on the shore of the lake that is surprising for its emerald color and for having a small island in the center, known as Fanette Island.
This area is perfect for spending a few relaxing days in the mountains enjoying cycling and hiking routes or practicing some water sports such as kayaking in its beautiful lake.

5. Big Sur

Traveling the winding Highway One, which borders the Pacific Coast on the stretch that connects San Francisco with Los Angeles, known as Big Sur, is one of the best experiences in California.
This legendary road passes between steep cliffs, hidden beaches like Piedras Blancas with sea lions resting in the sand, great viewpoints of the Pacific Ocean, vertiginous bridges like Bixby Creek and charming towns like Carmel.
But it’s not all landscapes in Big Sur, although there are impressive places: once you get close to Los Angeles, we recommend taking a relaxing swim on the famous beaches of Malibu and Santa Barbara and feeling like you’re in a television series.

6. Los Angeles

Los Angeles, famous for being the mecca of Hollywood film studios and the residence of millionaires, is another of the essential places to see in California where many actors from all over the world travel hoping to fulfill their dream of working on a big movie. and one day win the precious Oscar award, although very few achieve it.
Another important thing is to know that when you arrive, you will probably not find a city that is very pleasant at first sight nor very friendly to walk around, although this is compensated by an endless range of leisure activities and extensive beaches where you can sunbathe or surf.
Among the most interesting places to visit in Los Angeles are the Walk of Fame, Santa Monica, the Griffith Observatory, the Hollywood studios and Beverly Hills, where movie stars live in large mansions.
You can search for hotels on booking.com where you can get the perfect stay at an affordable price.

With this guide to Egypt we hope to help you organize your trip to one of the most complete and incredible countries in the world.
Known for its fascinating past and history, Egypt is probably the dream trip of many travelers who want to discover one of the most attractive and enigmatic cultures on the planet. And although it permeates every corner, you can come face to face with it in places like Abu Simbel, the impressive Pyramids of Giza or the temples of Luxor and Karnak or Hatsepsut, among many others.

Egypt Guide

In this guide to Egypt you can find information on basic aspects to organize your trip such as which places you should include in your route, how to book a cruise on the Nile, which is one of the essentials in the country, or what are the tips that you should keep in mind before traveling to be able to fully enjoy your stay in one of the most fascinating places in the world.

What to see and do in Egypt

The first and most important thing before starting to prepare the trip is to know which places you should not miss in addition to the essential tips to make your trip a success.
In addition to that, it is also very important to know health issues such as what is the best travel insurance for Egypt.

Cairo, one of the destinations that cannot be missed in the Egypt guide

Capital of Egypt, Cairo is known for being a city in which chaos is always present, something that does not always help the traveler and it is quite normal for the first impression to be somewhat confusing.
But don’t be fooled, you won’t need more than a few hours to get lost in the Jan el-Jalil bazaar, stand with your mouth open at the Egyptian Museum or explore the Coptic neighborhood to realize that the city is captivating and the friendliness of Its people have won you forever.

Nile Cruise

It is impossible not to talk about Nile cruises in the Egypt guide. Although it may seem very touristy, we assure you that this is the best way to get to know some of the temples that are located on the banks of the river as well as an unforgettable experience.
It is also important to keep in mind that the concept of a river cruise is always synonymous with tranquility , so these have nothing to do with large cruise ships, which are much more crowded.

Luxor

Known for being the capital of Ancient Egypt for more than 1,500 years, Luxor is one of those places that does not leave anyone indifferent and we cannot forget that many of the country’s main temples are concentrated here.
Although most visits can be done on your own, remember that the history of the country is complex, so doing these guided tours is an added bonus to your trip.

Aswan

Few travelers arrive in Egypt without having heard of Aswan, the gateway for many to one of the most fascinating civilizations in the world. And for a large part of travelers, the famous Nile cruise begins or ends in this city, something that makes it one of the essentials in the country.
But that’s not the only reason we recommend spending a couple of days here: Aswan, like Luxor, is another of the most important places in the country as it concentrates many of the most important monuments and temples in Egypt.

White Desert

Are you adventurous? Would you like to include a different place in your trip? Then you cannot miss visiting the White Desert, a place where the white mountains with strange limestone formations and the immense sand dunes have formed one of the most incredible and spectacular landscapes in the country.

Hurghada

On the coast of the Red Sea is Hurghada, a perfect place to end your route through Egypt enjoying the sea, the beaches and of course, the seabed.

Sharm El Sheikh

Located on the coast of Sinai and with a past linked to fishing, Sharm El Sheikh is currently one of the most popular destinations for travelers who want to discover the Egyptian seabed, enjoy impossible blue beaches and also do so at affordable prices. balanced.
